known as Starflower, this annual variety produces many blue star-shaped flowers that bow gently towards the ground below. Borage will make great use of whatever space you give it without risk of crowding anyone else out. Starflower is an herb and both the flower and leaves are edible and can be a great addition to salads and dips. Borage is prized among beekeepers for the superior quality honey its nectar can produce.
Like the spicy chili sauce for which it is named, Sriracha Rose adds zest to any garden. This Bat-faced Cuphea is an annual that reaches 24-30 inches tall, with wide-open paper-like rosy red blooms from late spring all the way into fall.
A fast growing annual that produces clusters of small white flowers on top of long upright stems. Buckwheat flowers quickly and for extended periods of time, flowering in as little as three weeks of growth. Buckwheat attracts a large array of beneficial and pollinator insects and is considered one of the best green-manure plants and is used as a cover crop in many North American farms. The dark honey that Buckwheat produces sells for a premium due to its nutty flavor as well as for its proven efficacy at soothing sore throats and coughs.
